Come for the View - Stay for The Mystery

Bernhard and I love travelling in Switzerland. The people are kind and extremely efficient, and of course, the scenery is absolutely beautiful. I am proud to be 50 percent Swiss. Each day, we enjoy the adventure, whether it’s wandering along a water’s edge, visiting a castle, or dangling above a glacier in a cable car.

We noticed a saying ‘come for the view - stay for the magic’, and it made me think that when we have God’s perspective and vision for our lives, which is full of hope and purpose, it is as beautiful as standing on top of the highest mountain peak. God makes our lives and our futures a wonderful, beautiful, magical adventure to explore. God gives us a higher view, a heavenly perspective which is far above what we can even begin to imagine or understand. It made me think that many come for the initial view, but stay for the mystery. We get to live our lives obediently trusting Him with each step we take, knowing that He is working out His perfect plan for our lives.

The pictures we capture when travelling are great reminders and memories. In the same way, we get to remember all the God adventures we have in life , and trusting the mystery of all He has planned for us is a wonderful testimony to tell. “ Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight” God wants to be intimately involved in the mystery of our lives - He promises to make it beautiful.

Bernhard likes to say ‘ I’m taking it all in and enjoying the view’ . He is passionate, in fact, He makes it His purpose in life to encourage people to encounter the beauty and majesty of God, not once or a few times, but to live in His Presence daily . We may come for that initial encounter, that changes us. We need to stay for the ongoing ‘experience’ or rather the ongoing daily living in His Presence reality.
